• Franklin Scott

    Campus Minister

Franklin Scott is our Senior Campus Minister. Known as “Dr. Love” (he enjoys talking with students about relationships), “Slim” (from his college Basketball days), “Frank”, or just “Franklin”, he loves discipling students! He has been at UGA since 1990. He is married to Georgia, a math teacher at Classic City High School in Athens. He has two grown daughters, Shelynn and Stacey. He is a graduate of Francis Marion College and received his Masters of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

  • Nathan Byrd

Nathan has been a campus minister at UGA since 2000. Nathan literally grew up in BCM - his dad was a BCM director at Georgia Southern - and has worked in Collegiate Ministries in Georgia since 1989. One of his childhood heroes was Leonardo Di Vinci because of his breadth of interests, skills and experiences. Nathan was an art major (Pottery & Photography) and English minor in college at Georgia Southern ('85). He has a Master's of Divinity (Pastoral Care and Counseling) from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary ('89) and a PhD (Adult Education) from UGA ('11 - Go Dawgs!). He loves to read (sci-fy, fantasy, mysteries, & classic literature - just go by his office and look at his bookshelves), watch movies, do research, write, listen to music, work on DIY projects around home, ride his bike, and hang out with students. Nathan loves getting to know students (and helping them to know themselves!). Beware, he has been told he asks lots of "annoying questions." His greatest love is his family. Nathan married Karen, his high school sweetheart, just after graduating from college. Karen teaches 8th grade social studies in Walton County. They have three children - Natalie (a freshman @ UGA), Nick (a senior at NOHS), and Karlie (a fourth grader at Rocky Branch). You can find out more about him on Facebook, via his blog (though he does not post consistently), on twitter, or by dropping into his office (he loves interruptions and visitors)!

  • Linsey Lee

    Administrative Assistant

Linsey graduated from the University of Georgia in 2010 with a B.B.A. in Marketing and a B.S.Ed. in Sport Management. In college, the BCM was her second home. She met her husband, Justin at the BCM on a leadership retreat, and they got married in 2010. She loves being back at the BCM and hanging out with and investing in college students. Linsey loves to cook, go trout fishing, and go to the lake, but there’s nothing she'd rather be doing than watching football.  Go Dawgs!
