Welcome to BCM at UGA!

BCM exists to equip students who will reduce lostness and brokenness in the world.  The BCM seeks to accomplish this by making disciples who will worship the Lord with gladness, live a missional lifestyle, share Christ to a lost and broken world, build a healthy community, and equip leaders for kingdom purpose.

BCM is a Christ-centered, student-led, campus minister-directed ministry that seeks to provide opportunities for spiritual growth and Christian community throughout college. We provide several different ministries to get involved in:

Discipleship - Discipleship is an important part of our ministry.  We have small groups, called DawgPacks, that meet on different nights of the week around campus or in an apartment or dorm.  DawgPacks are where relationships will be built with other students and where the message on Tuesday nights will be made practical and applied to your unique life situation.

Worship - A critical part of any discipleship program and college ministry is learning to worship God privately and corporately. As you are experiencing the joys of college life, we will help you incorporate worship into your weekly routine. While we are not a church, we can provide you with worship experiences that fit your life as a busy collegian.  Each Tuesday night at 8pm, we have Gathering with large group worship led by our house band and teaching led by one of our campus ministers or guest speakers.

Missions/Ministry - Just as worship is an essential element of discipleship, learning to serve others is also vital. Through DawgPacks, you will have an opportunity to participate in local missions and ministry projects. BCM also has a long tradition of missions service through spring break trips and summer and semester missions (www.sendmenow.net).

Fellowship - Fun and play are also important aspects of what we do at BCM. We love dances, socials, fun trips, retreats, tailgates, and any reason to get together and get to know each other better! We also provide quiet and social areas (and coffee!) in the BCM building throughout the school day for students to hang out between classes or study.

We would love to get to know you better and have you be a part of the Lord's work here in Athens! If you have any questions or comments, please contact us!

Support for the BCM

Gifts of Georgia Baptists through Mission Georgia and the Cooperative Program enable us to partner together in fulfilling the Great Commission. The BCM is a mission of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board which provides for our BCM building needs and for Campus Ministers and Ministry Assistant.  All BCM program support and ministry needs come from individual churches, Associations, Alumni and friends and family of this BCM…  People like YOU!— “UGA BCM Alumni and Friends”.   If you would like to support the BCM Alumni and Friends Foundation, the BCM directly or help our SMN Student Missions fund, Click HERE:
